its like good and stuff

Ok so like if my friends didn't keep on going on about how the new Yeasayer album is shit, I wouldn't have been so slow on realising how wrong they were. The thing i find with them is that their tracks upon first listens never really draw you in. But after a while you have this craving to listen to them again and then all of a sudden Ambling Amp is like going way up your top 25 most played song on your itunes. True story.

Their new single, O.N.E., is possibly the most frustrating piece of brilliance ever. why? You spend 2 and a half minutes with this amazing little track, then the falsetto kicks in and you feel like they should have had that from the start. If someone was to remix this they'd be smart and let that falsetto take over the whole track (edit: the XXXchange remix lets the falsetto take over a fiar bit of the track and is totes good). Here's the video. If you get bored fast forward to 2:35 and get blown away by that falsetto bro.

Also, my boy Rob Pix made a really good, much more dj friendly re-rub of Major Lazer's When You Hear The Bassline. its the little differences in his mix that makes it a bit more fun for the club. trust me on this one.
